The Himba tribes of Namibia’s northwest live in the least modernized region of the country and have maintained their tribal culture even as Namibia has modernized around them. In this painting, I have attempted to illustrate the continued connection these people maintain to the natural world and, in particular, to the wildlife that surrounds them.
