The client’s husband had spent his young childhood living in Indonesia. Fifty years later, the couple made a trip back to the country and happened upon the same beach where he had spent his holidays and from which he had wonderful memories. As he stood on the beach, recognizing the hotel in which he had stayed as a child, the client snapped his picture. I was asked to combine this new photo with one of him as a child on the same beach. The two images of people in the painting are of the same person only 50 years apart.
