While lodging near the Waterberg Plateau on a trip to Namibia, I fell in love with the African Oryx. When I got home, I painted this scene from my visit. It depicts the Waterberg Plateau in the background and an Oryx on the savannah surrounded by bright orange termite mounds. I hope you’ll see what I see in this beautiful animal and his surroundings.
